Baby Angel X invades Chelsea . . . kinda!

Baby Angel X is coming to a Chelsea gallery in Manhattan. Visual Arts Gallery is sponsoring a show honoring some of their SVA Cartooning and Illustration faculty members and alumni. So if your in the New York area in October come check it out. It’s a unique opportunity to see some comic book legends and there artwork . . . um and me to!

Come check it out, I’m gonna. Oh and if you can find my artwork at this show and send me a cell phone photo of you next to it, I’ll send you a free character sketch.

Here’s the press release from the School of Visual of Arts:

“Coming This Fall—Ink Plots: The Tradition of the Graphic Novel at SVA

October 9 – November 7, 2010
Visual Arts Gallery
601 West 26 Street, 15th Floor
New York City

It’s been three decades since legendary cartoonist and former SVA faculty member Will Eisner coined the term “graphic novel,” and since then the format has grown steadily in popularity and critical acclaim. The graphic novel’s success is especially noteworthy as other print media have struggled for an audience in the face of blogs, Facebook pages and iPhone apps. Curated by Marshall Arisman, chair of the MFA Illustration as Visual Essay Department, and Thomas Woodruff, chair of the BFA Illustration and Cartooning Department, this exhibition of published works and original art by SVA alumni helps explain the format’s enduring appeal.”

Here’s the full list of artists. it’s huge.

Captain America Hates Teabaggers!

I simply cannot believe what a bunch of scared uptight whiners the right wing has become. First of all, the Tea Party movement is now and probably always will be, a gaggle of frightened white people driven half mad by the hateful fear mongering pumped into them since the 9/11 attacks. These people are the same people that would label you un-American if you criticized the former administration for it’s many destructive and dangerous policies. The same people that wrapped themselves in Red, White and Blue clothes and plastered flag stickers all over their glutonous SUV’s as if the colors that would not run, would somehow protect them from their fear of anything non-white.

“Back your President no matter what!”

These same people now say “Depose Tyranny!” and issue  assasination threats disguised as bible passages. Wackos carrying unloaded handguns in front of the White House. Can you imagine what these hypocrites would say if a Green Peace protester was caught carrying a gun in front of the White House during the Bush/Cheney nightmare? And now it seems they have a problem with Captain America, (Yes, the comic book) I don’t know why . . . he has the same fashion sense they do.

Apparantly in Issue 602 of the Captain America comic book. Cap and The Falcon are investigating a right-wing anti-government group called “the Watchdogs”. They observe a “Watchdog” anti-tax protest from a nearby rooftop. The protestors are DRAWN as all caucasian (it’s a picture folks it can’t hurt you!) they’re carrying signs with cheesy right wing slogans that sound just like the garbage the Teabaggers spew at rallies and Town Hall meetings.

To all you Teabaggers:

First of all, you ARE all white; I haven’t seen a beige or brown Teabagger yet. Second, you base your whole protest on the concept of the Boston Tea party. . .sooooo. . . are you or aren’t you saying not to pay your taxes, hmmm, sounds pretty un-Americany (sorry Sarah I didn’t mean to steal your folksy ridicule). Third, you DO carry around signs with silly anti-government slogans. Fourth, you DO hate everything except your own misguided vision of America. You practice a doctrine of intolerance and misunderstood Dogma.

Now. . . as for Captain America; based on the fifty or more years of the Captain America bibliography, Cap would most certainly be the first to oppose your wacky views. I have news for you if Cap knew what went on at Guantanamo anyone in that torture room that wasn’t tied down would be eating adamantium. He’s a Super Hero; it’s against his nature to be in league with, or a witness to torture and injustice. At Abu Ghraib, do you think Cap would have just stood around as grown men were being dragged around on a dog leash by a twisted elf of a girl. Any pinhead involved would be chewing on the righteous red leather fists of justice.

Marvel has issued an apology to a bunch of whiny douche bags.

“Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Joe Quesada spoke to Comic Book Resources and defended the issue while apologizing for the panel that seemed to tie real-life Tea Party protesters to the fictional group depicted in the book.”

Marvel would “apologize for and own up to” a series of “stupid mistakes” that led to them “accidentally identifying” one of the members of the protest group “as being a part of the Tea Party instead of a generic protest group.”

Dont you dare Joe . . . on general principal; don’t apologize to these whiny hate-breeders. They want to put themselves out there for all the world to see then they are vulnerable to the slings and arrows of American satire. Don’t you dare apologize for one or two panels of artwork, don’t give that much validation to the wingnuts of this world.

The Tea Party movement seems to believe that they have a patent on revolution; well the pendulum must also eventually swing left. That’s just physics. The more you try to shove to the right the more momentum you create to crush your own movement.

You may have the guns and the Bibles,

but we have the drugs and the pussy!

So bring it on dummies!

Welcome to the first installment of the www.atomictadpole.com Blog. I plan to keep everyone updated on my present and future plans for the website. As you can see I am still working out the bugs for this blog so bear with me.

Anyway, I add to this site almost daily so check back often to read new comics and more. As of now I have two dead links that I still need to contend with, one is the Chibi Angel X comix link which I’m working on but I have to take care of the functionality of this site first.  In the meantime there should be plenty here to keep you occupied until I get to it. the other dead link is the Store link which is almost a separate website altogether.

So welcome to my site and stay tuned!

Attack of the Atomic Tadpole

Once upon a time, God created Heaven and Earth and somewhere in between he made . . . BAD GIRLS.

My little corner of the Bad Girl universe is here for all to see. Buried in these digital pages you will find a spectacle of boobs and gun metal.
